Amid those present from organizations relating to high speed rail, the HSR-350x Test Team was officially launched and opened up an office within the premise of Gwang myeong station on 2 February.
The embarkment of the test train team is geared towards reinforcing the current system throughout a number of tests before the bullet train is put on tracks for commercialization at the earliest possible time. The body consists of members from the institute, Ministry of Construction and Transportation, Korean Railroad, Korea Rail Network Authority and ROTEM respectively.
Last year's trial distance between Gwang myeong and East Daejon will be stretched down to the destination of East Daegu and Mokpo by the end of the year aimed to cover as far as 120,000km to ensure stability and reliability of the system.
The HSR-350x holds the speed record of 352.4km that was set last December.
