Minister of Science and Technology Oh Myung took HSR350x train that test ran Kwangmyung-Daejon on September 11 accompanied by as many as fifty staff of the office. The train left Kwangmyung station slightly past 11 in the morning and made it to Daejon in 40 minute hour. Seemed attracted to the local technology-based bullet train, Minister Oh looked while on board around the train checking some major systems and reiterated the importance of safety and security. Including persons concerned from Ministry of Construction and Transportation and Korea National Railroad, other VIP attendees at the event were chief of Korea National Railroad Seho Kim, president of Rotem Co., Ltd. Chung, Hak Jin. With 129 other organizations involved, KRRI led the magnum project of developing HSR350x ranging from its design to core equipment parts like asynchronous motor and propulsion control system. Boasting 92 percent of localized technology applied to the development HSR350x is test running Kwangmyung-Osong track on Kyungbu line every week. KRRI is ready to face a new challenge and break the current speed record of 324km/h to reach up to 350km/h by the year end. |
