Professor Tae-won Park, college of engineering at Ajou University has decided to carry on his research activities in Korea Railroad Research Institute during his sabbatical year. Majored in vehicle dynamics in college, Prof. Park is planning a six month stay at Rolling stock Research Department of the institute.

Prof. Park is said to have applied to KRRI to serve his sabbatical year judging that he would be able to soak up in-depth research comprehension with his rivalry experts in terms of design and experiments of high speed train, interpretation of dynamics. He is in the course in his research of towing and braking power playing a role as advisor for the 2nd phase of the Korea high speed rail tain project.

Marking the first of its kind, a sabbatical year of professor is expected to ignite more activities between academies and institutes in coming years.
